Our Spring recital is the highlight of our year! It is a themed recital with each student playing a piece that is related to the theme in some way. Our 2025 theme was Once Upon a Time and the pieces played took us on a magical adventure of fairies, dragons, princesses, and knights.  

I like doing themed recitals for a couple of reasons.  First of all, it gives the whole evening a very cohesive feel.  The students all know that their piece is part of a larger whole and they know they are part of something special! Themes also make the evening feel more special by allowing us to add special decorations and extra little touches.  Students have also been known to dress based on the theme or the piece they are playing.  Parents, family and friends also enjoy our themed recitals  - no more boring piano recitals to sit through! The theme gives the whole evening a much more entertaining feel!
